TN96 Tristan Reid’s Walking for Turkey


A conversation with Tristan Reid, my colleague here on Talking Naturally but perhaps more importantly the inspirational force behind The Inked Naturalist – a moniker that arose after Tris had a stunning series of bird tattoos inked onto both arms. He had these done as Part One of a project to draw attention to the planned destruction of so much of the biodiversity of Turkey, a country Tris visited in 2010 and – in his words – fell in love with. Part Two of Tris’s efforts have just been announced – plans to undertake a gruelling and very ambitious plan to hike thousands of kilometres around Turkey in 2013…
